today i learned that my uncle's niece (on the other side of his family) died, just shy of passing her dentistry exam. it is hard to believe that someone so young and full of life and at the threshold of her career could pass away.
life's too short to not really live it. and to also say what you need to say.
i forgot how much i loved walkin around World Market ...pretty neat place with things from around the world. me and mom had a look at some stuff today when we hung out and went there. munched on some marzapan while we did it...
Also, thought i'd share what my campus missions leader said at the end of her e-mail. something to really reflect on and pray about for the coming year.
"Here is something that you guys can pray about as well: Ask the Lord to mature your love for others and to be real with people. That's so important in our ministry. Make time to sit down and meditate on the word. Really ask God to reveal what He specifically wants you to do for this campus. Pray and spend time with the Lord and He will tell us what He wants to be done. When you get a chance read Jeremiah 17:8 and know that we will find strength and courage to carry out His works. Even when life shakes us up."
