"took a walk along the battery, came to find that life ain't so bad after all"--Anywhere You Want, Shannon McArthursunrise did in fact happen. it was kinda cloudy at first. bit of a bummer. now i really wanna watch the sunset.

then went to Village Bakery. delicious food, chill interior, friendly people. they're open 7 AM - 5 PM. i definitely plan on going there every once in a while when i'm home in charleston.
we then walked around charleston, went to some of my favorite places in this city.
"Took a carriage ride to the battery, toasted shots above the water, Then stumbled ‘cross the cobblestone, hands holdin’ us together"--Carolina, Corey Smith
also dropped by Teavana...

it was a good day i think. so today i found myself having a conversation with a guy about Psalm 23. and as a result am now reading this:

"don't forget that in the midst of your pain and heartache, you are surrounded by beauty, the wonder of creation, art, and your music and culture, the sounds of laughter and love, of whispered hopes and celebrations, of new life and transformation, of reconciliation and forgiveness."-- The Shacki think i'm gunna hit up the beach for a couple hours tomorrow. i haven't been to the beach nearly as much as i had hoped. but school is right around the corner... also, it's been a while since i've done this beach meditation i learned in a meditation class last year. You stick your feet in, ankle deep, into the ocean. as the wave comes in, you think about all your problems and frustrations. and then as the wave goes back out, you let it all go with the wave. it always helped me release.
also, i've missed FCA. pretty stoked to get back to that. i always felt so much more alive and at peace thursday nights. and i'm lookin forward to what God will teach me while i'm on this year's servant team...
on a completely different note, i'm watching So You Think You Can Dance, and the dance number to Calle Ocho is pretty hot. makes me want to watch dirty dancing, havana nights
